Gather a spreadsheet of students from your registrar’s office or IT department:
NOTE: Text in your spreadsheet will appear in your story as written so avoid capital
letters and abbreviations. Save your spreadsheet as an .xls or .csv file.
Write the “Single Format” version of your story template:
Write this version of your template as if it’s news about just one student.
Draft a “Multiple Format” version of the same story template:
Your spreadsheet and template will later be combined similar to a mail merge.
